Fathers Eyes

Imagine: 1970-1971, soldiers in and out of Vietnam, a man with his Minolta camera captures images that would only be seen through a soldiers eye – my father.

Using an alternative process, slides and old Polaroid 669 film I was able to revive the images that would have just sat in a box, in the basement of my parents house .

I am looking for events or anything that is going on in the Kansas City area that has an “LGBTS” theme. I would like to document local events that are in support of Kansas Cities gay community. As an openly gay women of 15 years I really want to reach out again to the community and actually do something for the Kansas City community. I have a supportive family and friends, in sad truth I think that Kansas Cities “gay” community has become bitter and not so welcoming any more. I want to help change that or at least make an impact on people who have doubt. So please if anyone has any ideas or events or something, please, please let me know.

She however grew a knack for baking. She has been in the cake business for many years and has owned her own specialty cake business now for three years.
